وفي رواية قال: «ذهبنا نَتَلَقَّى رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم مع الصبيان إلى ثَنِيَّةِ الوداع».
ایک دوسری روایت میں ہے: ”ہم آپ ﷺ سے ملاقات کرنے بچوں کے ساتھ ثنية الوداع گئے“۔
In another narration: "We went out along with the children to meet the Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) at Thaniyyat al-Wadā‘."

Explanation تشریح
سائب رضی اللہ عنہ نے فرمایا کہ آپ ﷺ صحابۂ کرام کے ساتھ غزوۂ تبوک سے واپس آ رہے تھے، لوگ ان کے استقبال کے لیے ثنية الوداع تک گئے۔ یہ مدینے کے قریب ایک جگہ ہے۔ مقصد تھا آنے والوں سے محبت کا اظہار، ان کی دل دہی اور جنگ میں شریک نہ ہونے والوں کی ترغیب۔
Explanation
As-Sā'ib informed us that when the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) returned from the battle of Tabūk with the Companions, the people went out to meet him at Thaniyyat al-Wadā‘, which is a place near Madīnah. They did so in order to make the Prophet and his Companions feel at ease and comfortable. Moreover, this good reception would encourage those who stayed behind to participate in the battle next time.
