عن عائشة رضي الله عنها قالت: سَألتُ رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم عن الالتِفَات في الصلاة؟ فقال: «هو اخْتِلاس يَختَلِسُهُ الشَّيطان من صلاة العَبْد».
عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا سے روایت ہے کہ میں نے اللہ کے رسول ﷺ سے نماز میں اِدھر اُدھر دیکھنے کے بارے میں پوچھا تو آپ ﷺ نے فرمایا: ”یہ بندے کی نماز سے شیطان کا کچھ اُچک لینا ہے“۔

Explanation تشریح

عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا نے آپ ﷺ سے نماز کے دوران ادھر اُدھر دیکھنے کے بارے میں پوچھا کہ یہ نماز کے لیے نقصان دہ ہے یا اس میں کوئی فرق پیدا کرتا ہے؟ آپ ﷺ نے فرمایا کہ یہ شیطان بندے کی نماز سے جلدی اور خفیہ طریقے سے اُچک لیتا ہے، جس کی وجہ سے نماز میں خلل پیدا ہوتا ہے اور اس کا ثواب کم ہوتا ہے۔

Explanation

‘Ā’ishah (may Allah be pleased with her) asked the Messenger of Allah (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) about the ruling on looking hither and thither during the prayer, and whether it affects the validity of prayer. He told her that this looking is a means by which the devil snatches away a portion of a slave’s prayer in a swift and hidden manner so as to affect its validity and decrease its reward.
