عن جبير بن مطعم رضي الله عنه قال: سمعت النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم يقرأ في المغرب بالطُّور، فلما بلغ هذه الآية: ﴿أم خُلِقُوا من غير شيء أم هم الخالقون، أم خَلَقُوا السموات والأرض بل لا يوقنون، أم عندهم خزائن ربك أم هم المسيطرون﴾. قال: كاد قلبي أن يطير.
جبیر بن مطعم رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ میں نے نبی کریم ﷺ کو مغرب کی نماز میں سورۃ الطور پڑھتے ہوۓ سنا۔ جب آپ اس آیت پر پہنچے ﴿ أَمْ خُلِقُوا مِنْ غَيْرِ شَيْءٍ أَمْ هُمُ الْخَالِقُونَ، أَمْ خَلَقُوا السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ ۚ بَل لَّا يُوقِنُونَ، أَمْ عِندَهُمْ خَزَائِنُ رَبِّكَ أَمْ هُمُ الْمُصَيْطِرُونَ﴾ تو قریب تھا کہ میرا دل اڑ جائے۔

Jubayr ibn Mut‘im (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: I heard the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) recite Sūrah At-Tūr during the Maghrib prayer. When he reached this verse: {Were they created by nothing? Or were they themselves the creators? Or did they create the heavens and the earth? Rather, they are not certain. Or have they the depositories [containing the provision] of your Lord? Or are they the controllers [of them]?}, it was as if my heart was about to take flight.

Explanation تشریح

اس حدیث میں ہے کہ جبیر رضی اللہ عنہ نے آپ ﷺ کو مغرب کی پہلی دو رکعتوں میں سورۃ الطور پڑھتے سنا، یہ اس وقت کی بات ہے کہ جب بدر کے بعد قیدیوں کو چھڑانے کے آئے تھے، اس کے بعد یہ اسلام لے آئے۔

Explanation

In this Hadīth, Jubayr (may Allah be pleased with him) heard the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) recite Sūrat At-Tūr in the first two Rak‘ahs of the Maghrib prayer, and that was when he came to free the captives after the battle of Badr. He embraced Islam after that.
