لوگو، دین میں غلو سے بچو۔ کیوں کہ دین میں غلو نے ہی تم سے پہلے کے لوگوں کو ہلاک کیا ہے۔

عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رضي الله عنهما قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ غَدَاةَ الْعَقَبَةِ وَهُوَ عَلَى نَاقَتِهِ: «الْقُطْ لِي حَصًى» فَلَقَطْتُ لَهُ سَبْعَ حَصَيَاتٍ، هُنَّ حَصَى الْخَذْفِ، فَجَعَلَ يَنْفُضُهُنَّ فِي كَفِّهِ وَيَقُولُ: «أَمْثَالَ هَؤُلَاءِ فَارْمُوا» ثُمَّ قَالَ: «أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ، إِيَّاكُمْ وَالْغُلُوَّ فِي الدِّينِ، فَإِنَّما أَهْلَكَ مَنْ كَانَ قَبْلَكُمْ الْغُلُوُّ فِي الدِّينِ».
ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے، وہ کہتے ہیں: اللہ کے رسول صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے عَقَبَہ کی صبح، جب کہ آپ اپنی اونٹنی پر سوار تھے، فرمایا: "میرے لیے کچھ کنکر چن کر لاؤ۔" چنانچہ میں نے سات کنکر چن کر پیش کیے، جو چنے کے دانے کے برابر تھے۔ آپ انھیں اپنی ہتھیلی میں رکھ کر جھاڑنے لگے اور کہنے لگے : "اسی طرح کے کنکر مارا کرو"۔ پھر فرمایا : "لوگو، دین میں غلو سے بچو۔ کیوں کہ دین میں غلو نے ہی تم سے پہلے کے لوگوں کو ہلاک کیا ہے۔"

Ibn ‘Abbās (may Allah be pleased with him and his father) reported: On the morning of ‘Aqabah, when the Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) was atop his she-camel, he said: "Pick up some pebbles for me." So I picked up seven pebbles for him, which were the size of pebbles used for flinging with fingers. He started shaking them in his hand and saying: "Throw the like of these." Then, he said: "O people, beware of immoderation in religion, for those before you were doomed because of immoderation in religion."

Explanation تشریح

عبداللہ بن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما بتا رہے ہیں کہ وہ حجۃ الوداع کے موقع پر، قربانی کے دن، جمرہ عقبہ میں کنکر مارنے کی صبح اللہ کے نبی صلی اللہ علیہ و سلم کے ساتھ تھے۔ اسی دوران آپ نے ان کو کچھ کنکر چن کر لانے کا حکم دیا۔ چنانچہ انھوں نے سات کنکر چن کر پیش کیے۔ ہر کنکر چنے کے دانے کے برابر تھا۔ اللہ کے نبی صلی اللہ علیہ و سلم نے ان کنکروں کو اپنی ہتھیلی میں رکھ کر ہلایا اور فرمایا : اسی سائز کے پتھر مارا کرو۔ اس کے بعد اللہ کے نبی صلی اللہ علیہ و سلم دینی معاملوں میں غلو و تشدد سے کام لینے اور حد سے آگے بڑھنے سے منع فرمایا۔ کیوں کہ دینی معاملوں میں یہی غلو، حد سے تجاوز، افراط اور انتہا پسندی نے پچھلی امتوں کو ہلاک کیا ہے۔

حدیث کے فوائد

  • دین میں غلو سے ممانعت، اس کے برے انجام اور اس بات کا بیان کہ دین میں غلو ہلاکت کا سبب ہے۔
  • پچھلی امتوں سے سرزد ہونے والی غلطیوں سے بچنے کے لیے ان سے عبرت حاصل کرنی چاہيے۔
  • سنت کی پیروی کرنے کی ترغیب۔

Explanation

Ibn ‘Abbās (may Allah be pleased with him and his father) reports that he was with the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) on the Day of Nahr, the morning of stoning Jamrat al-‘Aqabah during the Farewell Hajj. He (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) ordered him to pick up pebbles for stoning the Jamrahs (stoning pillars), so he picked up seven pebbles for him, each was the size of a chickpea or a hazelnut. The Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) put them in his hand and then moved them and said: Throw pebbles that are equal in size to these ones. The Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him), then, warned against immoderation, strictness, and exceeding the limits in religious matters because what destroyed the previous nations were immoderation, exaggeration, and strictness in religious matters.
