عن أبي موسى الأشعري رضي الله عنه قال: ((أتَيتُ النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم وهو يَسْتَاكُ بِسِوَاك رَطْب، قال: وطَرَفُ السِّوَاك على لسانه، وهو يقول: أُعْ، أُعْ، والسِّوَاك في فِيه، كأنَّه يَتَهَوَّع)).
ابو موسی اشعری رضی اللہ عنہ روایت کرتے ہوئے بیان کرتے ہیں: میں نبی ﷺ کی خدمت میں حاضر ہوا، تو آپ ﷺ ایک تر مسواک کر رہے تھے۔ ابو موسی اشعری رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ مسواک کا کنارہ آپ ﷺ کی زبان پر تھا اور آپ مسواک منہ میں لے کر منہ سے اس طرح اع، اع کی آواز نکال رہے تھے، جیسےآپ ﷺ قے کر رہے ہوں۔

Abu Mūsa al-Ash‘ari (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: I came to the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) while he was cleansing his mouth with a ripe tooth-stick. The edge of the tooth-stick was on his tongue and he was making a sound like: “ugh, ugh” as if he was heaving, and the tooth-stick was in his mouth.”

Explanation تشریح

ابو موسی اشعری رضی اللہ عنہ بیان کر رہے ہیں کہ وہ نبی ﷺ کی خدمت میں حاضر ہوئے، تو آپ ﷺ ایک تر مسواک کر رہے تھے؛ کیوں کہ یہ زیادہ اچھے طریقے سے صفائی کرتی ہے اور منہ میں ٹوٹ کر تکلیف نہیں دیتی۔ آپ ﷺ مسواک کو اپنی زبان پر رکھے ہوۓ تھے اور بہت اندر تک مسواک فرما رہے تھے اور یوں لگ رہا تھا، جیسے آپ ﷺ قے کر رہے ہوں۔

Explanation

Abu Mūsa al-Ash‘ari (may Allah be pleased with him) relates in this Hadīth that he came to the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) while he was cleaning his mouth with a ripe tooth-stick – a ripe tooth-stick cleans better and does not crumble inside one's mouth and hurt. He was placing the tooth-stick on his tongue and was cleaning his mouth thoroughly, as if he was going to vomit.
