نام عامر بن عبد اللہ ہے، ابو بکر رضی اللہ عنہ کی دعوت پر اسلام لائے۔ نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا: ہر امت کا ایک امین ہوتا ہے اور اس امت کے امین ابو عبیدہ بن جراح ہیں۔ شام میں لشکروں کے سالار رہے اور وہیں طاعون میں وفات پائی۔

Amir ibn Abdullah, known as Abu Ubaydah, accepted Islam through Abu Bakr. The Prophet ﷺ said: every nation has a trustworthy one, and the trustworthy one of this nation is Abu Ubaydah ibn al-Jarrah. He led the armies in Syria and died there in the plague.
