Explanation تشریح

’وتر‘ رات کی نماز ہے اور اس کے ساتھ قیام اللیل، ختم ہو جاتی ہے جس طرح کہ صبح کی نمازیں، نمازِ مغرب کے ساتھ طاق ہو کر اختتام پذیر ہو جاتی ہیں۔ اس حدیث میں یہ بیان کیا جا رہا ہے کہ نماز وتر کا وقت صبح ہونے سے پہلے تک ہے یعنی صبح صادق ہونے سے پہلے پہلے۔

Explanation

Witr prayer is the last part of the night prayers exactly as Maghrib prayer is the last prayer performed during the daytime, so that it ends with an odd number prayer. The noble Hadīth indicates that the time period for Witr prayer is before the break of the second dawn.
