عن عائشة رضي الله عنها «أنّ رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم كُفِّنَ في أثواب بِيضٍ يَمَانِيَةٍ، ليس فيها قَمِيص وَلا عِمَامَة».
عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ کو تین سفید یمنی کپڑوں (چادروں) میں کفن دیا گیا، ان میں نہ قمیص تھی نہ عمامہ۔

Explanation تشریح

عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا نبی ﷺ کے کفن، اس کے رنگ اور تعداد کے بارے میں بتا رہی ہیں کہ آپﷺ کو یمن کے بنے ہوئے تین سفید کپڑوں میں لپیٹا گیا اور اس میں قمیص اور عمامہ نہیں تھا۔ اور زندہ آدمی کی بنسبت میت کی پردہ پوشی اور حفاظت کے پیش نظر زیادہ کپڑے استعمال کرنا زیادہ بہتر ہے۔

Explanation

‘Ā'ishah (may Allah be pleased with her) informed us about the shroud of the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) its color, and its number. He was shrouded in three white shrouds made in Yemen. He was not shrouded in a shirt nor a turban. The reason for the increase in the number of shrouds is to cover the deceased as it demands more care, and it is more important than covering the living.
