عن أبي هريرة عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: «لعن الله السارق، يسرق البَيْضَةَ فَتُقْطَعُ يده، ويسرِقُ الحَبْلَ فَتُقْطَعُ يَدُهُ».
ابو ہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ نبی صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا ہے : "اللہ کی لعنت ہو چور پر، جو ایک انڈا چراتا ہے اور اس کا ہاتھ کاٹا جاتا ہے، ایک رسی چراتا ہے اور اس کا ہاتھ کاٹا جاتا ہے"۔

Explanation تشریح

اس حدیث میں چوری کرنے والے پر لعنت یعنی اسے اللہ کی رحمت سے دھتکارے جانے اور دور کیے جانے کی بات ہے؛ کیونکہ وہ انڈے اور رسی جیسی معمولی چیزیں چراتا ہے۔ لیکن چوں کہ یہ معمولی چیزیں چرانے والے کو جب چوری کی لت لگ جائے گی، تو وہ اس سے بڑی چیزیں چرانے لگے گا، اس لیے ان معمولی چیزوں کی چوری بھی چرانے والے کا ہاتھ کاٹے جانے اور اس کے لعنت کی بد دعا کے حق دار ہونے یا اس کے اوپر لعنت پڑنے کی اطلاع دینے کا سبب بن جاتی ہے۔

Explanation

The Hadīth indicates that the curse, which is being expelled and distanced from Allah’s mercy, is applicable to thieves. This is because a thief steals insignificant things like an egg and a rope and becomes accustomed to stealing small things and ends up stealing bigger things. This causes his hand to be cut off, and he deserves the invocation of curse which the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) made against him, or the information that he is cursed.
