عن جابر بن عبد الله رضي الله عنهما قال : جِيءَ بأبي إلى النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم قد مُثِّل به، فوُضِع بين يديه؛ فذهبت أكشف عن وجهه فنهاني قومي، فقال النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم : «ما زالت الملائكة تظله بأجنحتها».

جابر بن عبداللہ رضی اللہ عنہما روایت کرتے ہوئے بیان کرتے ہیں کہ: میرے والد (کی لاش) کو نبی کریم ﷺ کی خدمت میں لایا گیا اس حال میں کہ ان کا مثلہ کردیا گیا تھا۔ انہیں آپ ﷺ کے سامنے رکھ دیا گیا۔ میں نے ان کے چہرے سے کپڑا ہٹانا چاہا تو میری قوم کے لوگوں نے مجھے منع کردیا۔ نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا: ”ابھی تک فرشتے ان پر اپنے پروں سے سایہ کئے ہوئے ہیں“۔

Jābir ibn ‘Abdullāh (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: My father's mutilated body was brought to the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) and placed in front of him. I went to uncover his face but my people stopped me. The Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The angels continue to shade him with their wings."

جابر رضی اللہ عنہ کے والد یعنی عبداللہ بن عمرو بن حرام انصاری جابر بن عبداللہ – رضی اللہ عنہما – (کی لاش) کو جنگ احد کے دن نبی کریم ﷺ کے پاس لایا گیا۔ کفار نے مسلمانوں کے مقتولین کے جسموں کو بگاڑ کر ان کا مثلہ کر دیا تھا۔ انہیں آپ ﷺ کے سامنے رکھ دیا گیا۔ کفار نے ان کا جو مثلہ کیا تھا اس پر دکھی ہو کر جابر رضی اللہ عنہ نے چاہا کہ وہ ان کے چہرے سے کپڑا ہٹائیں لیکن ان کی قوم والوں نے انہیں ایسا کرنے سے روک دیا۔ نبی ﷺ نے اس موقع پر فرمایا: فرشتوں نے ان کی تعظیم و تکریم میں ابھی تک ان پر اپنے پروں سے سایہ کر رکھا ہے۔

Explanation

‘Abdullāh ibn ‘Amr ibn Harām al-Ansāri, the father of Jābir (may Allah be pleased with him), was brought to the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) on the day of the battle of Uhud. On that day, the disbelievers mutilated the bodies of the Muslims killed in that battle. When ‘Abdullāh's body was placed in front of the Prophet, Jābir wanted to uncover his face in agony for what the disbelievers had done with his body. However, his people stopped him from that and the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said: The angels are still shading him with their wings, as an honor and tribute to him.
